Gnomes

Gnomes are an Ogish race of small humanoids that tend to live underground or in trees, known for their intelligence, craftiness and virtue of protecting nature. While they are native to the Grand Gnome Forest plane of the Oggahverse, they once ruled Earth during the Third Civilization Era, forming prosperous societies, returning sometime during the Fifth Civilization Era and subsequently the Seventh Civilization Era. Gnomes are believed to possess magical powers and also the ability to telepathically communicate with trees, Billybogs, and Mole Rats.

It's known that Gnomes are rivals to Elfs and Dwarfs due to how both races collectively invade their original homelands.

Gnomes, nowadays, still inhabit the Earth within residential gardens, protected under the last remnants of the Gnomistan Council, ruled by Binkus. They tend to come alive when no one's looking.
